Sir Mix-A-Lot comes to Penn State By Jane Sorbitol University Park, PA-- Rap icon and lover of huge posteriors, Sir-Mix-A-Lot, will be speaking at the Eisenhower Auditorium February 4, 2001, as part of Penn States Distinguished Speaker Series. Mix-A-Lot, best known for his timeless classic, "Baby's Got Back", which sold 7 million copies in 1992 will be speaking to the crowd about the joys and cons of a nice firm shapely backside.
"I like a nice firm rump," Mix-A-Lot stated, "I like 'em real thick and juicy, kind of like a well stuffed turkey." According to a press relaase, Mix-a-Lot has just released a "groundbreaking, ballbusting, all-new fifth album, Return of the Bumpasaurus" which will feature a "smack-upside-yo-nuts combo plate of styles, all of them featuring a return to a low bass throb." This is Mix-A-Lot's first appearance in State College. Penn State president Graham Spanier stated, "Once again, Penn State has committed it resources to bringing nothing but the finest speakers to engage our students." "I like big butts too," said Spanier. Tickets go on sale January 28, and are free to PSU students and $4 for non-students.
