Suspect Found in Pennypacker Hall Assault Incidents
By Jane Sorbitol
UNIVERSITY PARK, PA-- Students in Pennypacker Hall can sleep a little easier this week as the suspect who had allegedly entered eight unlocked dorm rooms was taken into custody Sunday night.
Penn State Police Services have not officially filed charges against the suspect and have not released his name. He has been moved off campus, however.
Penn State spokeswoman Deborah Norvelle said the suspect was transferred to an off campus housing assignment because "it was best to move him away from the victims." Criminal charges may be filed as soon as Monday.

According to police, a naked man walked into a students room at 2:10 AM January 20, 2001, and a girl was startled awake. She punched him directly in the right eye as he fled her room.
Seven other Pennypacker residents reported similar incidents during the night.
"Me and my roommate were sleeping when I woke up and this guy was all over her. When he saw that I was awake, he fled down the hallway"
Judicial Affairs has begun processing the information about the incidents.
Students are reminded to lock their doors when they go to sleep at night. Anyone with information about this incident should contact PSU Police Services at 814-863-HELP.
