Campus Loop Driver No Longer Needs Map
UNIVERSITY PARK, PA— Campus Loop run number 17,890 was different than all the others for driver Walter “Sparky” Locksman, as he no longer needed to use a map to complete the fifteen stop bus route.

Despite a job that would drive normal people insane, Loop Driver Walter Locksman greets people with a smile as they enter his bus.
|
The Campus Loop is used by 5,000 students each day to get to various locations around campus and is serviced by the CATABUS corporation.
Locksman, a two year veteran campus loop driver, decided to forgo using a map for directions after some thought when he realized that “in actuality, basically I’m just driving around in a circle for 40 times a day.” However, the transition from map to mapless would not be as simple as one might expect.
